About Premier Youth League

The Premier Youth League (PYL) is the next level of competitive soccer beyond Metro League organized and delivered through the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association.  PYL is offered at the U12, U13, U15 and U17 age groups.  Games are scheduled by the NLSA and are played on week days and weekends.  

The U12 and U13 age groups offer a single division for teams to register while U15 and U17 age groups are divided in to Tier 1 and Tier 2 divisions.  In addition to season games, the division winners for U15 and U17 age groups are eligible to represent NL at Nationals.  

As with Metro League teams, PYL teams will practice in the off season at one of the designated NEUSC practice facilities.  As PYL offers a higher level of competition than Metro League, commitment and dedication to training and games is important at this level of play. PYL team players will be identified through try-outs in the fall prior to the applicable season.  Tryouts are open to any interested player and as such previous registration with NEUSC is not a requirement.
