Sports Program Coordinator
Start Date: June 10, 2024 (subject to change)
Duration - 2 weeks (part time) / 9 weeks (full time)
Part time position to start (15-20 hours/week)
Full time hours start June 24, 2024 - Minimum 30 hours per week.
Hours could vary depending on programming but will generally be evenings and weekends
Responsibilities:

· Taking direction from the NEUSC executive, making decisions, coordinating tasks and resources to deliver a fun and safe summer outdoor soccer program;

· Communicating effectively and professionally with parents, children and volunteers on the field, and via email;

· Leading the team and taking responsibility for program planning & delivery;

· Building relationships with the town staff, recruiting and managing volunteers;

· Ensuring that all NEUSC policies are followed;

· Leading the coordination of on field-use planning, ordering and ensuring the proper inventory is available;

· Accessing and updating our online registration system and website, sending and receiving email communications, and developing and responding to social media posts; and

· Developing marketing materials, including posters, and planning a fun day event.
Eligibility Requirements:

· Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector check

· 15 to 30 years of age at start of employment

· Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

· Team player with excellent organizational and written and oral communication skills

· Experience in leading sports and/or youth programming would be an asset

· Experience instructing soccer to youth ages 4 to 18 years of age would be an asset
Training Required:
-
· Will be required to complete First Aid, Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders and Safe Sport training.

· Additional training may be required as identified by NEUSC Board of Directors
