About Premier Youth League and Championship League

The Premier Youth League (PYL) is the next level of competitive soccer beyond Metro League organized and delivered through the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association.  PYL is offered at the U13, U15 and U17 age groups as the highest level of play for U13, U15, and U17 age groups.  The PYL division is the pathway leading to club nationals. Games are scheduled by the NLSA and are played on week days and weekends.  

The Championship League is for U12 (tier 1) as well as  U13, U15, and U17 age groups (tier 2).  

As with Metro League teams, PYL and Championship league teams will practice in the off season at one of the designated NEUSC practice facilities.  As PYL and Championship League offers a higher level of competition than Metro League, commitment and dedication to training and games is important at this level of play. PYL and Championship team players will be identified through try-outs in the fall prior to the applicable season.  Tryouts are open to any interested player and as such previous registration with NEUSC is not a requirement.
